April 9th, 2008, Soho Studios Miami, Florida. Amanda Bolk, Molly Rolf, Lorana Vargas is featuring Eco-friendly fashion of the Ergostalio(tm) women's RTW line showcased on opening night of Miami Fashion week. The collection is inspired by rural farming agriculture of England and 18th ce. European style. The collection of women's separates include baby doll dresses, skinny trousers, skinny strapped tops, casual jackets, and not to mention 100% Eco-friendly! Each piece was handcrafted from bamboo, hemp, silk, and organic cotton home dyed materials with the use of wooden buttons and Egyptian cotton thread to top it off. Showing to the left is a skinny strapped top with wooden button closure in the front, side pockets, and cross bow tie strapping in the back. There was a judging before the fashion show which determined the first and second place winners of the Corn Fiesta Young Designer Competition.

Inspired by the unique landscaping of Puerto Rico, CHIC INDEPENDENCE, is a collaboration of natural beauty of the country side with the youthful flair of city life. Each garment features empire waistlines, bellowing silhouettes, pleating detailing, unique shirring and smocking effects.

MENSWEAR SCREENPRINTED TEE'S

Omar is wearing a one of a kind Berlioz screen printed Tee. The step-by-step process of screen printing via the computer was used to develop this design. Created and designed in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, this Tee features vintage effects and layering. Hand printed using industrial equipment, "Berlioz Tee" was printed with black ink onto a blue T-shirt.

Deanne is wearing a one-of-a kind low cut triangle black Swiss-dotted- lace bikini. With a false bow in the front, the top ties around the neck for adjustable fit and hooks around the back for a full fit. Bikini bottom is connected on the sides with gold plated rings for glamour.

Featuring a piece from the Contemporary Elegance collection. This cocktail dress highlight an A-line silhouette with an empire waistline and thin strapping. A satin scooped neckline accentuates the Chantilly lace overlay with a soft inverted box pleats to provide mobility and ease. With a back zip closure this dress is the perfect evening piece for a night out on the town for the expecting mother.

EVENING WEAR FALL 2007

Lexi is wearing a one-of-a kind black strapless evening gown. I was inspired to create this gown after studying the draping effects of curtains in historical theaters. I wanted to incorporate the elegance of historical theater along with restoring authentic dramatic shirring effects. Highlighting features include lace bodice with rushing chiffon midriff overlaying with structural deluxe satin boning. A chiffon rushing overlay with a satin lining falls all the way to the hem of the dress.

This Black strapless evening gown has been featured in the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale's Culture Shock 2007 fashion show.

LAS OLAS FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL 2007

Shida is modeling a one of a kind "Corn" cocktail dress. I was inspired to create this one-of-a-kind cocktail dress out of corn from the process of shucking corn husk. I was also inspired to create this garment out of corn from the new textile industry developments in utilizing corn husk as a fiber for creating fabric. This mini corn cocktail dress has pleating detailing along the bust line of the corset top, corn-woven cinched waist, and layers of corn husk over a pleated hemline. Along with the cocktail dress, Shida is wearing corn product accessories designed by herself. The accessories include corn flowered shoes with pleating detailing and hoop oven earrings.

NECK AND TIE 2006

The Neck-and-Tie competition allowed new and upcoming fashion students to create products from recycled vintage ties. This adjustable strap bag is fully lined with front closure, and is created entirely out of vintage ties. Made out of 100% authentic silk ties. Five ties were used in their entirety in order to create this bag.

LAS OLAS FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL 2006

Las Olas Food and Wine Festival is an annual event which allows the locals to taste the cuisine featured from restaurants located on Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Elizabeth is modeling a one-of-a-kind "Rock Candy" evening gown. I was inspired to create this one-of-a-kind evening gown out of rock candy from the unique crystallization process of creating rock candy. This halter evening gown has a cinched waist with shear strips that are embroidered from top to bottom with rock candy. Along with the gown Elizabeth is wearing a rock candy tiara to top off the evening.

ART ROYAL "TAKE FLIGHT" 2005

The Alliance of the Arts features Art Royal, November 17 2005. Art Royal is a massive art exhibit which showcases artist all across Southwest Florida. This years theme was "Take flight". Each artist was able to express there own reflection throughout all various art mediums.

Included in the event was a Chico's sponsored fashion show showcasing new and upcoming designers of Southwest Florida. Each designer was to reflect Take Flight through their designs and create walking art pieces.

From left to right, "Blue Jay" halter flare top with rushing detailing and a fitted handkerchief hemmed skirt, crafted in aqua opaque eyelet. "Flamingo" yellow chiffon wrap halter with a handkerchief flare skirt. "Swan" fitted strapless dress with applied "all natural" feathers.
